Checking Pen Drive for Virus Manually - First task

Follow these steps:
1. Plug in your pen drive.
2. Go to Start, Run, type cmd and press enter.
3. In command prompt enter the drive name for pen drive and press enter(Ex- "f:" and press enter)
4. Now type attrib to see all files with their attributes.
S- denotes system file
H- denotes hidden file
R- denotes read-only.
5. Check for files with .exe, .vbe, .bat, .com extensions. These may be viruses.
6. Any unrecognised file must be deleted.
7. To delete the file
with SHR attributes type del/ah/f filename.extension and press enter
without " type del filename.extension and press enter
8. You can remove autorun.inf file also coz it is also usually infected.
